Why this exists
You're planning your day, so you open your sports app to see when your teams play.
Uh oh. Articles. Alerts. Highlights. A trade rumor you just can't resist. Before you know it, your attention is on some random story instead of the one thing you came for.
That's why this exists. Get the information you need, and take back your attention.
I made this for myself, and I love it because it cuts through the noise.
Every sports app I've tried has the same annoyances. Why does the MLB app stop showing the start time the moment warmups begin? Why do I have to scroll past six articles to find out when my team plays? Why does checking a schedule turn into twenty minutes of notifications and clickbait?
There's so much noise attached to sports now — ads, clutter, distractions, things designed to steal your attention. This was my last-ditch effort to solve at least part of that problem, because I was about to give up on following sports at all. It helped. I think it will help you too.
Right now I'm turning the page I built for myself into something I can hand to other people. If that sounds like something you want, leave your email below and I'll let you know when it's ready.
